From now until April 23rd, independent game developers can submit their creations to BIG Festival, the largest independent games festival in Latin America and one of the top three in the world. The competition is open to all developers, regardless of national origin. Submissions can be made through the official website:

Last year’s event received 745 submissions from 48 different countries. The BIG Festival Selection Committee will analyze the entries and the finalists will compete in several different categories, including Best Game, Best Gameplay, Best Sound, Best Art, and Best Narrative. The attending public will be able to play the games at the event, via PCs, tablets, smartphones, consoles, and Virtual/Augmented Reality.

In addition to the competition and exhibition, BIG Festival includes lectures, keynotes, business roundtables, pitches, and presentations. International guests include Mike Foster, Manager of Developer Relations for Sony and Sam Carlisle, Senior Director of External Partner Relations for Microsoft. Representatives from companies such as Fun Academy, Vungle and Execution Labs should also be in attendance.

The event will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, at Centro Cultural São Paulo, from June 24 through July 2, 2017.
